Wildlife Expeditions had pioneered wildlife tourism in Sabah in 1989 with the opening of tourism in the Kinabatangan River where some of the most diverse and greatest concentration of wildlife species in Borneo can be sighted. Not far from the river, the Sandakan areas, where orphaned Orang Utans are being reinhabited at the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to return to the forest is a must to watch. Together with nearby Sun Bear Centre, Rainforest Discovery Centre and Labuk Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, make a perfect wildlife viewing holidays.
Over the years we have perfected our wildlife tours to Unesco World Heritage Site of Mount Kinabalu to see the flora, fauna and the majestic sight of the mountain and the Mulu National Park, another World Heritage Site to see the unique limestone caves formation of millions of years and the wildlife that lives there.
In 1997, we brought our unique brand of wildlife tours to Peninsula Malaysia. Since then we have been very successful in organizing tours to Malacca and Penang with their unique history on how Malaya started as a nation and the role played by the colonization powers. In 2008, these destinations were added to the Unesco World Heritage Sites for their tangible and intangible value.
We were challenged to operate in the Lenggong Valley Archaeological Sites to discover the history of the 11,000 years Perak Man and the discoveries dated back millions of years. This destination was so overwhelming to the story of humankind in South East Asia that it was declared as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2012.
